Can I sue the driver of the car I was riding in if I was injured in a Florida car accident?

This is a complicated question. The short answer is yes. Here in Florida, you as a passenger have the ability to sue the driver who is at fault. However be aware certain policies of insurance have exclusions. For instance, if you are married and your spouse is at fault, that may exclude you from suing. Most of the time, the answer is yes. As a passenger, you do have that right.
