The simple answer is yes. However, you have to go through the proper channels, your insurance company will allow, you if you have a special insurance called comprehensive and collision coverage to get your car fixed through your own company; sometimes this will require a deductible. It is best to try to make the at-fault driver's insurance company fix your vehicle. Oftentimes they will try to direct you to their own body shop. However, you do have a right to get an estimate at any place of your choosing and have your car fixed at any body repair shop that you choose.
